School Music Calendar
This is a sample school music calendar based on LaVada’s work with a number elementary, middle and high schools.
Concert Calendar
*All events are located at Sample School and are free unless otherwise specified.
December 9th, 7pm
Holiday Choral Concert (Middle School and High School Choirs)
Main Auditorium
A delightful evening of choral music to celebrate the holiday season with family and friends. Reception and silent auction immediately following concert.
STUDENTS:
-Call Time 6:30 pm, backstage, B&W concert attire,
-Remember to get your auction item(s) out of choir room and onto auction table.
January 15th, 9am – 3:30 pm
All-State Middle School Choir
Sample High School
Auditioned singers from several middle schools come together for an exciting day of choral singing, conducted by Ms. Marsha Shuemacher, from the Music Arts Institute in Milwaukee. Concert begins at 2:15 pm.
STUDENTS:
-Bring choir robe, folder, sack lunch (drinks provided)
-Bus departs Sample Middle School at 8:30 am; plan to arrive early!
PARENTS:
-Students will need transportation leaving this event – buses NOT provided
February 6th
Regional Solo/Ensemble
Main Auditorium and designated rooms; details forthcoming...
Singers and instrumentalists from various school districts perform before a judge to receive feedback and final rating for possible continuation to state-level event. Immediate family members are welcomed.
March 13th – 16th
Choir Field Trip, Washington D.C.

May 6th, 7pm
Musical: "The Colorful Kingdom"
Sample elementary school, auditorium
Third and fourth graders will perform this enchanting musical, in celebration of cultural diversity.
